There’s no real conflict until the 70% mark and the outcome is really sweet. This is a light fluffy read with some hand holding and kissing. When Nav’s grandmother falls ill and his parents have to jet away, for an undeterminable amount of time, he can finally be himself. Coming from a traditional Indian family, not only is Nav’s mother homophobic but she also believes in arranged marriages. He speaks in a very mature manner, and had some wise words to impart when things went belly up between Nav and Brent.īrent is a bisexual man, hung-up on the fact his in-laws interfered so much when he was married, therefore doesn’t want to repeat the experience. Even though it is stated he has the maturity of a fifth grader his character never came across as being mentally challenged. Navashen’s brother, who was born premature, is a central character as he moves in with Navashen. The homes Brett shows to Navashen are described in vivid detail and will appeal to readers who care about real estate. In the first half of this story, a great deal of page time is given to house hunting.
I enjoyed the snippets into his career and even though the premmie-twins didn’t play a huge part, I was routing for the wee babes and my heart went out to their parents. Navashen studied and worked hard to provide for his family, and now works as a doctor in the neonatal unit. This is a really sweet story of childhood friends reconnecting after sixteen years apart. Brent’s unfailing friendship and support convince Navashen he’s the one, but can he capture Brent’s heart when the matchmaker is focused on finding Navashen another man? Unfortunately Navashen’s schedule is unpredictable, and few of those available, interesting men value his dedication like Brent does. In doing so, he reconnects with Brent Carpenter-high school classmate, real estate agent, all-around great guy… and closet matchmaker.īrent makes it his mission to help Navashen develop a social life and meet available, interesting men.
